- The driver side axle seal was leaking. We replaced the driver and passenger side axle seals. The wheel bearings are pressed onto the axle shafts and they must be removed to replace the axle seals. The bearings can not be re-used. We replaced both wheel bearings during the repair. No leaks were found after repairs.
